The 35-year-old delivery worker was swapping trailers in Edison at around 8 p.m. Thursday when the masked trio approached him, according to NJ.com.

Two of the crooks allegedly got into the driver’s FedEx truck and forced the victim to drive to a nearby street, while the third suspect followed in another vehicle.

The robbers then had the driver stop where their box truck was waiting and unload his cargo into that vehicle. Local outlet Tap Into Edison said of deliveries were taken, but their contents are unknown.

The suspects then used zip ties to bound the driver as they made their getaway, according to Edison police.

The robbers allegedly took the victim’s phone, which they quickly ditched, but the driver was able to use his Apple watch to notify cops after freeing himself. He was physically unharmed.

Investigators are currently working to locate the suspects, but no arrests had been made as of early Friday night. The thieves reportedly wore blue medical masks and dark clothing.
